Your knees don’t need sympathy… they need a calendar invite before you sit down.

Let’s talk about it.

This episode of Brunch Behavior: The Pour Report is for everybody 40 and over who realized life didn’t fall apart… it just updated. New operating system. Same ambition. Less tolerance.

I’m taking it back to the boroughs with a sharp, funny, and honest breakdown of what this stage really feels like:

  •  Patience? Lower.
  •  Tolerance for nonsense? Gone.
  •  Energy? Still there… just not being wasted.

And somehow… you can scroll for five minutes and still need a nap.

We get into the real pressure points of midlife in a digital world—where building a business now comes with reels, hooks, hashtags, analytics, and a whole lot of confusion. Instead of chasing a 25-year-old pace, we talk about moving smarter, collaborating better, and building a grown circle that protects your time and your peace.

Social life gets recalibrated too:
Friday plans now require a full evaluation.
Group chats feel like background noise.
 And rest? That’s not lazy… that’s earned.

And yeah… we’re pouring something for this one.

Featured drink: Recharged Royale
Cognac, lemon, honey syrup, sparkling water, orange peel.
Because we’re not tired… we’re selective.

If you’ve been feeling like your energy isn’t gone, it just needs direction—this episode is for you.

Tap in.
Share this with your “back in the day” friend.
And drop a review with the biggest way you’ve had to recalibrate.

SIP happens. Every SIP tells a story.

Going Back And Getting Real\n

Alright, so this one we going way back. Doggy Doggy Diamond says to step right out. If that's familiar to you, then you're in the right place. Listen, over 40 ain't old, but over 40 definitely sends calendar invites to your knees before you sit down. And yes, I'm in that demographic, I'm over 40 myself. I'm not reporting from the outside. I'm in a locker room with y'all. There's a shift that happens when you cross the 40-year-old threshold. It's not dramatic, it's not tragic, it's just different. You wake up one day realizing you need reading glasses for the same phone used to jailbreak for fun. Not talking to iPhone users, mind your business. Enjoy the show. You scroll for five minutes, you know, then you need a nap. That's ridiculous. I might be taking it too far. Let me stop bugging. I'm playing, I'm playing, I'm playing. Somewhere in between software updates or backs, you start asking yourself, when did I become the back in the day guy? Let's go inside and continue the discussion. Welcome to Bunch Behavior, the Boroughport. I'm Styles. And today's vibe, grown, slightly tired, but still dangerous. Let me break this one down for you. The Sip Sermon. 40 and over in the Burrows. Let's talk about it. And yes, when I say the boroughs, I do mean New York City. We're starting to break down a little bit. Not physically falling apart, just recalibrating. Less patience, less tolerance for nonsense. I've always been like that. Less energy for updates we didn't ask for. I've always been like that too. Our parents had to adjust from rotary phones to call this phones to cell phones. We're just trying to survive whatever this latest software update did to the app that we finally learned how to use. Every time I figure out the algorithm, it moves to goalposts. Starting a business now feels like homework. Back in the day, you printed flyers, you blasted emails, maybe you ran an ad in the local paper. Now though, you need reels, hooks, trending audio, captions, hashtags, analytics, engagement strategy, conversion funnels, and a prayer. We used to chase dreams. Now we chase Wi-Fi strength and algorithm favor. My playlist, Big Daddy Kane, KRS1, MC Light, Roxanne, Shantae, The Juice Crew. Then we have Nas Biggie The Lost Boys. When I got past the 50 Cent era, I said, you know what? I'm good right here. After that, I clocked out. No moss. No can do. I remember partying to like 4 in the morning. Sleep 30 minutes, drink coffee, wash up, go to work, and do it all again. Now, if I sit down after work, it's over over. Nothing happened after that. That couch is undefeated. Group chats, absolutely not. I've been thrown out of group chats for not participating. I even left a few voluntarily. Muting them wasn't enough because psychologically I still felt like I could hear them and I was still getting alerts via osmosis, that is. Because my biggest pee is they start the chat with one thing and somebody turns it into something completely different. It just feels like the common bait and switch. But here's the real question: are we slowing down? Or are we finally prioritizing? Our parents are getting older, responsibilities are heavier, solitude now feels good. Let's talk about my dad for a couple of seconds. That dude is living his best life. Every time I call him, he's in a different state, on somebody's boat, or in a different country. So maybe it isn't a decline, maybe it's just a transition. Maybe we just need space. A circle. A lazy but intentional collective of 40 and over energy. No pressure, no glue chaos, just understanding. Let me break this down in a glass for you. This drink is inspired by the Bunch Behavior Summer Pack. And since today we're talking about 40 and over evolution, it's only right that we pour a recharged Royale. The kind of drink that reminds you that we're not tired. We're selective. And here's what's going in the glass cognac, lemon juice, honey syrup, sparkling water, and of course the ever-present garnish, the orange peel. Because hydration hits different when your back makes noise. The brunch behavior breakdown. This is what it looks like in real life. You get invited out on a Friday. Back in the day, you were already dressed. Now you have three questions. Listen up because it's important. What time? How far? And who's gonna be there? If it starts at 9:30, you're already negotiating with your pillow. We're not anti-social. We're just no longer impressed by exhaustion or people simply talking because they like the sound of their voices. The rest isn't laziness, it's a luxury. Let's jump to the business side. We're trying to build in a digital world that changes every 48 hours. TikTok says take a vitamin, Instagram says post three times a day, YouTube says consistency, somebody else says pivot. It's confusion overload. So instead of pretending that we're 25 again, maybe we build smarter. Maybe we collaborate instead of compete, and maybe we form our own grown circle. Not a loud one, not a chaotic one. Just a space where we can say, you listening? Hello world. I'm tired, but I'm still ambitious. I'm slowing down, but I'm still not done. I don't want a club. I want to own the club. And maybe once in a while we could book a trip, like my dad, on somebody's boat in somebody's country. Well, we gotta be careful with that nowadays. But anyway, the energy isn't gone, it just needs direction. The final pull. 40 and over isn't a decline, it's a pivot. We're not old, we're recalibrated. And we're not tired, we're selected. And maybe it's time we stop trying to keep up with everything and start building spaces that actually fit us. Sip happens. Every sip tells a story. That's your pour for today. If this hit home, I have something else for you. First, grab the free pour pack, five drinks, zero fluff, straight flavor. Then tap into the brunch behavior summer pack for the full experience. Drinks with stories that match outgrown energy. To get the free pour pack, go to siphappens.series on the gram or on the brunch hour page. DM me with the message free pour and I will give that right out to you. We're not old, we're just buffering differently. From your boy Styles. Catch you on the next pour.
